Nazaré solicita apoios para equipamento de embarcações de pesca com Sistema de Sinalização por GPS

A Câmara da Nazaré vai solicitar à Ministra da Agricultura, do Mar, do Ambiente e do Ordenamento do Território, Assunção Cristas, apoios para a aquisição de equipamento das embarcações de pesca local e costeira com um Sistema de Sinalização por GPS, os rádio–baliza.
Este sistema permite a localização imediata dos barcos em dificuldades no mar.
A proposta, a enviar à Ministra Assunção Cristas, pede que “sejam facultados aos pequenos e médios empresários da pesca local e costeira dois rádio-baliza, um para colocar na embarcação de pesca e outro na balsa”.
O Município frisa, nesta proposta aprovada em reunião de Câmara, que muitas das embarcações “trabalham em zonas perigosas sem os respetivos meios de salvamento e socorro”, salientando a importância do seu equipamento com meios adequados à perigosidade da atividade.
Dadas as dificuldades económicas e financeiras da comunidade piscatória, “propomos que estes equipamentos sejam fortemente suportados por fundos públicos”, lê-se na proposta.
