Vila da Lourinhã: Montagem de Pontes Pedonais e Limpeza do rio Grande

Na vila da Lourinhã encontram-se em fase de conclusão os trabalhos de montagem de duas pontes pedonais sobre o rio Grande, que vão permitir o acesso ao parque da Cegonha a partir da Avenida Catanho de Menezes . Nesta via serão também instalados semáforos e passadeiras, no sentido de garantir as melhores condições de segurança para peões e automobilistas. A sinalética vai ter particular incidência na ligação ao Skate Parque da Lourinhã, que é habitualmente frequentado por muitas crianças e jovens.

Saliente-se que a montagem das pontes e a melhoria da sinalização alavancam a criação do “parque de lazer da Cegonha “– um novo espaço a dotar com um circuito de manutenção, cuja instalação está prevista acontecer até ao final do ano.

Todas estas ações decorrem da viabilização, por parte da Administração Regional Hidrográfica do Tejo, do estudo hidrológico referente ao risco de cheias e inundações no troço do rio Grande paralelo à Avenida Catanho de Menezes. Elaborado pelo Serviço Municipal de Proteção Civil do Município da Lourinhã, o referido documento abrangeu um período retorno de cheias para os próximos 100 anos.

Limpeza do rio Grande

Para a criação de uma zona de lazer aprazível na zona da Cegonha concorre, igualmente, a limpeza do rio Grande, que está a ser efetuada a bom ritmo. Esta ação de limpeza realiza-se no percurso compreendido entre a foz do rio e a empresa Louritex e no troço estabelecido entre o rio de Águas de Mouro e a ponte a montante do jardim da Nossa Senhora dos Anjos.

No sentido de garantir que o rio se mantenha limpo durante um período de tempo mais alargado, retiraram-se os materiais (lamas e outros detritos) resultantes da limpeza da margem do rio, precedendo-se, igualmente, à aplicação em tempo oportuno de herbicida na vegetação espontânea existente.

A conclusão dos trabalhos, desencadeados pelo Serviço Municipal de Proteção Civil – numa ótica de prevenção e segurança - é apontada para o próximo mês de Outubro.
